I'm Not 10 Anymore
Me: Mama, can I go to Toronto today?
Mama: Bakit? (Why?)
Me: I want to get a haircut. Then I'll go to church for Prayer and Praise Night, para may ride ako pauwi. (So I have a ride home.)
Mama: Sino kasama mo? (Who'll be with you?)
Me: Wala po, ako lang magisa. (No one, I'll be alone.)
Mama: ... Di ba mahirap un? (Won't that be hard?)
Me: ... What? Why?
Mama: Sa iba'ng araw na lang, para may kasama ka. (Go on a different day so you'll have company.)
Me: ... Fine. *Sigh*
